My friends—I want to say thank you and that I am very thankful for ALL of you ! I do this whole blog thing, the reviews and interviews, as a hobby, and a passion and it humbles me to see and to know that folks come and view and read my blog- and to know that now I go to cons and people say “your John Horrordude aren’t you” – its humbles me, and makes me feel very grateful . I mean , who am I , I am just John, and I love this, but you guys, coming here, reading ,listening- you guys make my page what it is. It not BIG BOY in the blog world- but- it was nothing now its something! Its hard to sound “nonbragging” , “nongloating” – but believe me- that is how I mean it . Folks- I  had the awesome honor of checking out this awesome web series by Scott Perry and Jeremiah Kipp and some big help from Mike Polizzi also!! The ROCK this web series! I so hope if and when you are able to view these 6 short episodes- you will do so, they are VERY original, fun, creepy, spooky, funny,- geeez- everything- I thoroughly enjoyed them!

This review will go through each individual episode- so- with NO further waiting- here I go!

Episode 1-Monophobia - Fear of Being Alone
Starring- Debbie Rochon (million of titles lol ) , and David Maranick (from Ghosts)

My,what can I say??? Debbie,plays a psycho gal,fears being alone, and poor David,the date who finds out too late how afraid she really is !
They both do an awesome job at thier rolls- and the line' give me sexy face" - oh I am sure her mom will like that! lol
so- to avoid any spoilers- you all- just go watch!!!

Episode 2 - Podophobia - Fear of Feet
Starring -Xiomara Citron ( from Ghosts) and Alejandro Santoni

Geez- what a cool episode- how some 'closeness" brings out a trauma- that runs very deep- and Xiomara does remarkable as does Alejandro. Beware of the feet folks- you just never know!! lol

Feet are strange appendages- some folks like them some dont- and it seems that those who dont, REALLY dont. So the mere thought of thier feet being touched, played with, cuddled, or used in a manner of physical pleasure- can be very disturbing to some.

Episode 3- Selenophobia- Fear of the Moon
Starring -Louisa Ward and Mike Lane ( Insatiable)

well- maybe a new way to use metaphor for the "woman out late and meeting dangerous people"- people can be real animals, and sometimes they take big advantage of innocent people. So Louisa- she finds out- and her husband is forced into a very precarious predicament - one shot at glory ? Facing the monster within? See for yourself!

Episode 4 -Thanatophobia - Fear of Death
Starring- Suzi Lorraine (Won Ton Baby) and Damien Colletti

dare I say- a penalty of hard party life- drugs and the whole scene- hmmm-you can almost feel like you are there with them, the crazy hard life of drugs ! Waking up here- hope you brought a pillow ! Damien and Suzi both did excellent- as I said above- they draw you in- and you "live" with thier style-

Episode 5- Apehephobia - Fear of Being Touched
Starring Kelly Rae LeGault

I was thinking how this had such an arty feel - very surreal- a bad dream if you hate the touch factor ! Imagine being touched by a bunch of hands that are from nowhere , and no face can be seen- and you hate the feel of the violation they can bring- and no face to put the fear to.Now dont get all touchy about this episode-lol ! Just view- and see where it takes you- in your comfort zone of touch- and your perhaps fear of!

Episode 6 - Achluophobia - Fear of the Dark
Starring - Raine Brown (Barricade)

One gorgeous RAINE-Y night- lol- I had to go there- but this episode does deal with Raine, and dark (night)- I love times when there are blackouts, even though I wonder what would happen if we lose our electronics, Id go through withdraw, but yet ,the blackout brings me to a point of remembering simpler times, and even the spooky times of being a kid in the dark! What if in the dark- our lanterns, candles, start going out one by one-and no reason for it??? This would go from an mere oddity to a down right creepy freaky occurance- to a point- once all dark,of utter fear! So- beware of the dark- and keep one eye open,and enjoy Raine in an amazing role!

JAMIE LEE CURTIS HORRORHOUND CELEBS AND VENDORS PART 2

My my my- this was one helluva a weekend-and I am not sure how the heck to go about listing all the awesome folks and vendors- so I will just list them !!!  Everyone was excellent- not only did Jamie Lee and other Halloween alumni show up- but even Adrienne Barbeau  ( the Fog) , Timothy Webber ( Terror Train), Tom Atkins (Halloween 3 and the Fog ) Leo Rossi (Halloween 2) ,Lance Geust ( Halloween 2 ) , Brian Andrews (Tommy Doyle on Halloween ) 4 Michael Myers ( ie 6 year old Michael Myers ) and Michael Tough (Prom Night ) - and so many other wonderful independent artists- Kitsie Duncan ,Angela MsPoisoness Denton ,the Troma crew ( including Elle Church ) , Nikki Forte , Belle Demente , Debbie Rochon , David Marancik- the list goes on- and my friends- the vendors- great vendors- Synapse Films ( releasing some awesome titles on Blu Ray )

JAMIE LEE CURTIS AND HALLOWEEN HORRORHOUND INDIANAPOLIS 2012

My friends – we all have something obvious in common- a love for horror movies! We may also have a common point in that one of the most revered films being Halloween! Well I had the honor of being able to go and be apart of Horrorhound weekend that the one and only Jamie Lee Curtis- now to add icing on the cake- there were every Michael Myers that were in the franchise films that Jamie was in- as well as little Tommy Doyle ! That’s not all- Tom Adkins , and Adrienne Barbeau! Need less to say- people were jazzed- the energy was amazing- people all excited about meeting and getting photo and autograph of Jamie Lee. I know the prices were steep- for both- and some even bought the big freaking $$$ VIP package- but I heard very little griping about the cost- I think that the reason is because it’s a once in lifetime thing at a horror convention to meet Jamie Lee- and also- the proceeds from the autographs and photos ( I think )- went to the Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles for cancer research- so- money well spent in to help kids beat cancer. The coolest thing ,this was all Jamies idea- her stipulation to come here- to Indianapolis- my beloved city and grace us all with her amazing self! This was an amazing event- and I had a blast-as well as others I saw there.

Well- needless to say- this post is about the celebs who were there- and another one will be up about the vendors and fans- to which were also awesome ! 

One question that kept coming to mind and I asked about everyone I met from Halloween ,Fog,Prom Night and Terror Train- was this- did anyone ever think that after all these years that people wouldflock here to be apart- that the films would be remembered? The same answer- from everyone- was NO! Most even said- at least all the Michaels did , (paraphrased)- “if they were remembered after 5 years we would have been surprised and happy” ,here we are in 2012- and lines long enough to make the wait be a couple hours- in batches ! I was simply amazed- I was in awe and I couldn’t help but feel happy for the celebs being there and seeing them have looks of astonishment- and smiles of joy that they were fortunate enough to be apart of this weekend and apart of an amazing franchise and or to be able to act with a woman who became such an icon! I was impressed at how humbled the celebs were-how humble and kind they all were- and how they made me feel like I was a new friend, or a reunion with an old friend! I want to thank the lovely Adrienne Barbeau for the best damn hug of the whole weekend- she gave such a ‘real” ,such a genuine hug-you could just feel the vibe of happy and gladness ,the sincerity ! 

I also had the honor of chatting with Kelly Curtis- Jamie Lee’s sister. She was filming for an documentary about the event for Jamie- and we got to visit for a few- ( I got interviewed by her!!), hug, agree we are both horror nerds, and fist bump. She was wonderful- and I can only imagine the lucky ones who got to meet Jamie- if she was remotely close to Kellys kindness- she had to rock! 

I guess you can tell I rate this event high! Id give it a 5 outta 5- and even though I didn’t get the photo or autograph ticket- to be around the crowd ,the energy, and to meet and chat a bit with the Michaels and more was awesome and made the weekend well worth it!

Paranormal Fests Underground Horror - Indianapolis November 9-10 2012

Well folks—I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this weekend! I figured I would have a nice time and have a good chance to chill and meet some folks Let me say this- I really enjoyed myself-  and the folks at No Boundaries Media Entertainment- Randy Hubbard – the gentleman I was able to chat with a bit about getting into this show- did a wonderful job on this event!

This is gonna be a little different- I will put a little written here but give a more in depth review via audio! That being said- here are some of the wonderful things that happened during this 2 day , small quaint “family get together” –

Folks that spoke- the Booth Brothers  (http://boothbrothers.blogspot.com/ ) – film and documentaries directors- as well as paranormal investigators , Cassidy Rae ( model , actress and paranormal investigator ) – Scott Tepperman and Paul Bradford  of Ghosthunters International , Aron Houdini ( Magician extradoinnaire ) , Michael Koske and Triston Johnson ( walkers from the hit Walking Dead!!) – and there was a lot more then just those!

There will be several interviews to be posted including the Walkers , John Dugan , Kat Klockow , Jim O’Rear and more- so stay tuned!!!!
