THE CHAINMAIL CHICK- COSPLAY CUTIE - AND A REAL SWEETHEART

THE CHAINMAIL CHICK ---
 https://www.facebook.com/TheChainmailChick
http://www.youtube.com/user/MsChainmailChick http://thechainmailchick.blogspot.com/ http://thechainmailchick.deviantart.com/

As usual I wanna start this with a thank you to my friend the wonderful Chainmail Chick – I know horror isn’t really up your alley- but your awesome- and you have a cool way about things with your cosplay ! Thank you for giving me this wonderful interview and hope to keep in touch from here on out!!! TY again!!! John

JG -My first questions- obviously I see where the name Chainmail Chick came from- but what brought on the whole chainmail persona? I read how you did Ren Fairs etc- and do Cosplay - but I know one chooses their “role” – how did you choose your chainmail persona?? (that’s a hard one to word lol)

CC - I think it developed more than I chose it -- I got started modeling at a ren faire, and chainmail bikini was the costume du jour, and it made me feel like a warrior princess, so I just stuck with it. I've always liked female swordslingers! I've considered turning "the chainmail chick" into a real character on my youtube channel... she seems like she'd have some pretty interesting adventures!

JG -Do you like horror movies at all ?? I have to ask- my site does mainly horror oriented stuff so have to ask hahaha !!!

CC - Haha noooo I'm actually terrified of them. I have very vivid dreams, so I try to avoid anything too scary or gore-filled. Even Pan's Labyrinth was too intense for me. I'm more of an action flick girl.

JG -What got you started in modeling

CC - A really nice photographer who encouraged me to pose for him. Prior to working with him, I hated and feared cameras, because I was pretty well convinced it was physically impossible to get a decent picture of me. Turns out it's all about lighting and angles and terrible cunning photographers! Who knew!

JG -Would you , if opportunity arose- want to pursue chance for acting???

CC - It could be fun! I've done small acting projects here and there (like my trailer for True Dungeon or my skit with Beat Down Boogie), but I think it'd be really fun to have a role in a fantasy/adventure movie. Preferably a pretty badass one with an awesome costume. And a fight scene. Alternatively, I would totally be down to be in anything by Dead Gentlemen Productions (the crew who did Dorkness Rising, my favorite gamer movie EVER).

JG - What conventions do you most attend? Gencon ? Do you ever hit the film circuit- ,like sci fi or horror conventions??

CC - I do a pretty good spread of conventions, everything from GenCon to Dragon*con to Celebration (a big Star Wars convention in Orlando) to all the smaller local cons in NC. Generally I gravitate towards sci fi/fantasy stuff.

JG - What kind of other endeavors do you pursue ??

CC - Besides professional chainmail bikini wearing? Photo-editing and manipulation, costume making  , go go dancing, leather work, writing... also baking, cake decorating, cat wrangling, and extremely bad karaoke singing.

JG - Are you a reader and if so , what is your favorite book and author?

CC -Avid reader! My favorite book is a tie between "Name of the Wind" and its sequel, "Wise Man's Fear," by Patrick Rothfuss. I can't recommend this book enough; it's unlike any other fantasy novel out there. A believeable, immersive world that draws you right in - characters and cultures that you wish you could meet - and the most beautiful, carefully crafted prose. It's like a symphony of words. Side note, I got to meet the author, and he is a) super nice, b) pretty geeky, and c) willing to sign cleavage. Hell yes. I wish I could have laminated my boob or something.

JG - Now ,fun stuff, if I were to snag your IPOD - what music would be on it right now ???

CC -The Protomen, a lot of Broadway musicals, E.S. Posthumus, and Kimbra.

JG - Any guilty pleasures? Music (secret Loverboy fan) , Movie ( loved Somewhere in Time perhaps?), maybe a Harlequin Romance (you know, the kind with Fabio on the cover ? Hehehe)

CC - French pastries, video game binges, and sitting on the floor of Barnes and Nobles reading comic books! Also, really girly lolita dresses with lots of ruffles. Totally does not go with my image. Oh! And My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. DON'T JUDGE ME.

JG -Now- guiltless self promotion ,spill it all- new projects- conventions , websites ? Anything- anything at all!

CC -I finally got my YouTube channel sort of up! There's not much there right now, but keep an eye on it, I have plans. Mwahahaha.
 http://www.youtube.com/user/MsChainmailChick

I'm planning several original costume designs, the first of which is... elven lingerie! My favorite modeling/costuming partner Kelsey is joining forces with me on some really awesome ideas. Another project in the works is called Nerdiquette, which is a group effort by several women I know to help make conventions a more comfortable environment for everyone. We'll be doing panels and workshops at conventions with dating advice, general geek etiquette, discussions about making geek culture more inclusive of lady nerds, and hilarious horror stories about creepers who couldn't find social propriety if it hit them in the face.
You can also follow my adventures via my blog: http://thechainmailchick.blogspot.com/ or see pictures on deviantart (I pose some stuff there that isn't SFW) http://thechainmailchick.deviantart.com/

Thanks for the interview! I feel famous! <3

NICOLA--- I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME IN DOING THIS INTERVIEW WITH ME ! BUSY GAL- MAY BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT FOR YOU- SO THANKS FOR TAKING TIME OUT OF YOUR SCHEDULE FOR THIS HONOR! I WISH YOU THE BEST IN ALL YOU DO- AND HOPE THAT YOU ANS I MAY DO A FOLLOW UP SOMETIME-????!!!!!   ----JOHN

JG - What put you in place to do  movies? Was there a film in your past that grabbed you that you knew that you wanted to act  after viewing it ??

NF -I wish I could say that there was or recall one in particular, but I would say that it was television that inspired me really. I Love Lucy!

JG- What is your favorite horror movie  (old and or new) ?

NF -Such a tough question! I didn't always love horror movies. My old friend Chris Cline, who really taught me the basics of horror when I was 18, turned me on to Suspiria and Argento which made me look at the genre differently. That same year I made my first horror film which Chris wrote and directed called "The 12th Victim". The whole experience was so fun and it really gave me a new appreciation for the genre.

JG-.I have had the awesome chance to see via YouTube Slaughter Daughter – and its cool- I wish it was on a disc so I could really see it again and review it easier! What projects are you currently working on?

NF - Although I am not sure how that happened since it is still in the final stages of post-production! lol...I am SO glad you liked it! Just a bit of a perfectionist in getting unfinished things out there before people see the finished product. Lauren Miller and Travis Campbell are both post production masterminds so I just let them do their thing which usually doesn't involve the usual few years of waiting like most indies. Slaughter Daughter is something we are all proud of and look forward to getting it out there!

I am also in post-production on an indie art film called Annunciation: a triptych  which is a story inspired by the medieval painting of the same name. It was shot here in New York City when the Occupy Wall Street movement started which was worked into the film. It was refreshing to work outside of the horror genre with a group of great up and coming filmmakers from NYC, and to shoot on super 16 which was beautifully nostalgic.

JG- If you had the opportunity to pick a cast and director to star in a movie with , who would they be?

NF -Give me a story first and I would have a blast discussing the possibilities of that question! So many possibilities!

JG- Congrats on the wedding!!! I am happy for you two!! So – any big plans for you two ? Vacationing??? What does your wifey do ??

NF -Thank you for asking! Melody manages a HUGE business in Greenwich Village and is developing her talents in photography, graphic design, sound mixing, and public relations. She is the main source of my inspiration! I would not be doing what I am today without her.

JG- What would you love to do if film was no longer an option , something else in the film industry or maybe a whole different career all together?

NF -There is too many things I would like to do! That is why I became an actor so I could do them all! Even for a minute:)

JG - Are you a reader and if so , what is your favorite book and author?

NF -I am always reading something. I just finished a 3rd read of "The Tao of Inner Peace" by Diane Dreher which is a good read when things in life feel to chaotic. Travis just loaned me "Super Fetus" by Adam Pepper (formerly of Troma also:). This story is psycho fun that is in the same spirit as a project I will be working on called "After Birth" with director Tara Robinson who I worked with on Chuckle's Revenge. Let's just say it is a disturbing tale of a "mother"...and her angry newborn!

JG- Now ,fun stuff, if I were to snag your IPOD - what music would be on it right now ???

NF -Eclectic! I listen to a bit of everything. My wife is into mixing sound so we are always finding new stuff to play for each other. We just had a night of old school Florida style break-beat which kept inducing drug flashbacks. Good times!

JG- Any guilty pleasures? Music, movies ???

NF -Reality TV. Guilty as charged. I really do not watch any produced material since the producer in me is always compartmentalizing and breaking things down. Documentary style things with obscure subject matter I dig the most.

JG- . I asked about how you got into horror films- but how did acting come around all together?  Do any modeling or music ??

NF -My parents were always musicians which led me to performing. My dad got me my first guitar when I was 10, but it was the bass that I really loved and played until I was 16...which was when I got into modeling. My parents weren't into being stage parents so when I kept asking to take acting classes they said I would have to wait. I took the only drama class my high school offered, which was only a semester, the very first semester of high school! I thank my parents for making me wait. Even at 18 or in my early 20's I wouldn't have been ready. I am tough enough now to handle whatever comes my way.

JG - Last one- I know not everything is meant to be thought provoking or an chance to learn something about oneself- but have you had a role that really challenged you- perhaps a way to think or to change your life even in a small way ? IN other words- has there been a role that really was a challenge for you personally in some way that it changed you ?

NF -There is an element of what you just said that is in each role I decide to do. That is what it is all about to me. If I originally think something isn't right for me, or a role is something I wouldn't normally do-I do it. I originally wanted to turn down the role of "The Woman" in Ms Cannibal Holocaust and I am grateful that Ron Bonk was persistent with getting me to audition. Playing the antagonist was something I had never done and didn't know I could do. And when Travis came to me with a heavy metal murder musical, I raised my eyebrows at him. "I don't sing!" I said. Something in me made me say yes...and even try to sing for my character. Although my vocals were not used in the film, I feel so much stronger for giving it a go. We had no budget for a vocal coach so I just went for it and in the process I learned I could actually do it. Now I know that working with a vocal coach is something I want to do and I didn't even know it.

JG - Okay almost last one- lol- but- what else besides acting do you enjoy ? Any hidden talents ??  Ballet ? Playing Guitar ??

NF -I grew up with musician parents, so I had to treat the guitars like siblings.
Martial Arts keeps me disciplined and focused and I hope to train full time at some point in my life. I also LOVE target shooting with pretty much any firearm.

JG -Now- guiltless self promotion ,spill it all- new projects- conventions ,  websites ? Anything- anything at all! Just tell anything- something youd like to share that I haven’t asked  !

NF -Ms Cannibal Holocaust now available on DVD!!!

VICTORIA DE MARE - HOLLYWOODS HOTTIEST SCREAM QUEEN

VICTORIA  DE MARE – HOLLYWOODS HOTTIEST  SCREAM QUEEN
(LINKS AND WEBSITES BELOW)

FIRST OFF- I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU VICTORIA  FOR THIS HONOR OF BEING ABLE TO DO THIS INTERVIEW ! I AM GRATEFUL FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO "CHAT" WITH YOU SO TO SPEAK - THANK YOU FROM BOTTOM OF MY HEART!
-----JOHN

JG- How did you develop this love for the horror genre? Was there a film in your past that grabbed you ? What made it so impactful for you??

VDM -The horror/sci fi/thriller/action & fantasy adventure were always my favorite films as a kid.  'Jaws', 'The Exorcist', & the original 'Friday the 13th' & 'Halloween' impacted me the most.

JG- What is your favorite horror movie (old and or new) ? Heck- any other film you love that inspires youo to keep acting ?

VDM -My favorite horror films are 'Werewolf In A Women's Prison & 'Killjoy 3'.  Other films that inspire me are 'Natural Born Killers', 'Bram Stoker's Dracula' & 'The Fighter'.

JG - If you were asked to be in a remake of a classic horror- one that would be respectful to the original , the type that would make fans happy and feel good about the film, what movie would you like to do?

VDM-Ridley Scott's original sci fi/horror 'Alien' playing "Ripley".

JG-. You had quite the intro to acting in the movie world-Roger Cormans Slaughter Studio ! What was it like to work with such an iconic director??

VDM -It was very amazing & very educational.  I worked on the last film he shot at his legendary Venice Studios.  It made me feel like a part of history.

JG- What kind of film would you love to do ,not horror in any way shape or form and why ?

VDM -I am in development with John Lechago on a spin off from the 'Killjoy' series called "Batty Boop".  To star in my own character, action/fantasy adventure film series would be a dream come true.  All thanks to John Lechago.

JG- Now you have earned the title of "Hollywoods Hottiest Scream Queen " – so do you feel that adds pressure to you as an artist ?

VDM-No, it doesn't.  It was an honor when the Media began to refer to me as such so many years ago & continue to do so, & I will cherish that title for the rest of my career.

JG- Are you a reader and if so , what is your favorite book and author?

VDM -Yes, I read.  I love stories, that is why I am an actor.  My favorite book is Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin.

JG- Now ,fun stuff, if I were to snag your IPOD - what music would be on it right now ???

VDM -Victoria De Mare, Madonna, Prince, Michael Jackson, Elvis, Patsy Cline, Karen Carpenter, Led Zepplin, Chris Isaaks, Audioslave, Disturbed, George Michael,  Janis Joplin, Orchid AutoMaton featuring Victoria De Mare, Marilyn Monroe, & Fleetwood Mac just to name the ones off the top of my head.

JG- Any guilty pleasures? Music (secret Loverboy fan) , Movie ( love Somewhere in Time perhaps?), maybe a Harlequin Romance (you know, the kind with Fabio on the cover ? Hehehe)

VDM -My guilty pleasures are watching Gary Oldman's unparalleled brilliance in his work & drinking a glass of my favorite champagne watching the sunrise from the cliffs of the beaches on the Central Californian coast listening to Bob Marley tunes.

JG- If there was one thing that you could say challenged you in respect to your life being changed or challenged by your writing, or acting, what would it be ? ( if you care to share!)

VDM -Enduring the tragic untimely death of the great David Carr & not falling lost into a black hole of hell & continuing to write the best music of my life debuting on my new album slated for a summer release this year was most certainly my greatest challenge in my life that changed my career thus far.

JG- You have been in a ton of films- Killjoy 3 , Slaughter Studios , Werewolf in a Womens Prison – and geez the list goes on and on ! Without discrediting any other films of course- what was your favorite to do in your long resume? Was there a film that challenged you more then others and how did it challenge you ?

VDM -I have worked on over 65 film & television roles thus far in my career not including the 20 more productions I've worked on this year so far alone, so it is really hard to say.  But, the favorites that jump out are really 'Werewolf In A Women's Prison', 'Bio Slime', 'Killjoy 3', "Loving Gram Parsons", 'The Video Diary', & 'Death To Reality TV'.  The insanity of the characters & the intense sometimes 5 hours of make up application were the most challenging aspects of those productions.

JG -I have not even touched on your modeling or singing – but please do tell- anything- how would we hear your music ? Where would we see your modeling stuff? Inquiring minds wanna know!!! Okay- I wanna know!! (

VDM -My new debut self-titled album, Victoria De Mare, is currently playing on 11 different shows on 8 different stations FM & Internet currently, so if you want to hear the new hits, just follow my Blog at www.victoriademare.blogspot.com/ or my Wall on my Musician/Band page on Facebook or the News page on my website www.screamqueendemare.com for stations, showtimes, etc. or follow me on Twitter.  If you miss any live, you can download or stream the archived shows for free later at your leisure.  The album is slated for a summer release digitally & in stores, so vinyl collectors, stay tuned!

www.screamqueendemare.com/media.html     ---- here is the link to her debut music video Worlds on Fire -- check this stuff out- she rocks- a gal who sings and acts- and hot!! Doesnt get much better then that!

As far as my modeling career goes, I have mostly been shooting album covers for BSX Records, women's military & combat wear for K & K Apparel, as well as stockings & lingerie for EroticLingerie.com & pin up spreads for  Xplicit Pin-Ups Magazine.
Now- guiltless self promotion ,spill it all- new projects- conventions (Horrorhound of course)? Anything- anything at all!
I am currently in production starring in the horror/comedy 'Lesbian Zombies From Outerspace'.  I just wrapped on a pilot for a new USA Network series called "Graceland".  I am appearing as journalist/novelist Nic Brown's guest at the Texas Frightmare Weekend in Dallas May 3rd-6th.  As well as completing post-production on my current album & progressing with radio promotion around the globe, I am rehearsing for my upcoming Victoria De Mare Tour, which kicks off in Los Angeles, CA. late summer.  At the same time, I am prepping for a bigger, better "Batty Boop" in 'Killjoy 4' slated for a late May production start date, so get ready to see her kick some "Batty Fu" ass this time around!

Please follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Blogspot.com, & my official website ScreamQueenDeMare.com.

And, thank you from the bottom of my heart, John, for the opportunity to participate in this awesome interview!  All my best to you, always. :)

JASON HIGNITE - HORRORHOUND WRITER AND ACTOR OF AWESOMNESS

JASON HIGNITE
HorrorHound Magazine
HorrorHound Weekend
https://www.facebook.com/groups/12592263002/

JG- How did you develop this love for the horror genre? Was there a film in your past that grabbed you ? What made it so impactful for you??

JH -I have loved monsters as long as I can remember. When other little boys wanted to play army man or astronaut … I wanted to play werewolf army man or zombie astronaut. What can I say, it was in the family. My dad had a Lon Chaney Jr. Wolf Man mask. (Oh, what I would give to still have that.) I loved watching him scare people with it. Then, one spring day in 1976, the Bookmobile provided me with what would become my bible … Alan Ormsby's “Movie Monsters”. (I still have the book.) It showed me how to make myself up as a werewolf and how to make a Frankenstein head out of a paper grocery sack. I was hooked. But, it was not until a few years later that I became addicted to horror movies. I always liked watching them; however, it took a stinker B-movie and wet pasta to seal the deal. Dad and I were up late one Friday night watching Midnight Madness in Pheonix, AZ. They were screening Squirm, a brilliantly horrible movie about killer worms. I was on the floor, glued to the screen, when dad went into the kitchen to grab a handful of cooked spaghetti leftover from dinner. He dropped the handful slowly on my head. My heart burst out of my chest and I came up swingin'! Even at that young age, I realized that it was the movie that had done that to me … not the spaghetti. It was like a kind a magic to me. Since then, I have poured myself into the horror genre. Not long after the spaghetti incident, a video rental store opened down the street from our house. A short bike ride and I was in horror heaven. Hammer, Amicus, Universal, on and on … I couldn't get enough … and still can't.

JG- What is your favorite horror movie (old and or new) ?

JH -I am sorry … but, it is impossible to answer this question. There is no way I could render it all down to one. But, I definitely have a good list. These are in no particular order.  An American Werewolf in London  Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man  Vampire Circus  Dog Soldiers  Lair of the White Worm  Cat People (1982)  Alien

JG- If you were asked to be in a remake of a classic horror- one that would be respectful to the original , the type that would make fans happy and feel good about the film, what movie would you like to do?

JH -This one I can DEFINITELY answer ... Hammer's Vampire Circus! I will admit, I am really not all that big on remakes. I think Hollywood has lost its collective mind with remakes, prequels and sequels. But, there have been some admirable examples of remade/re-imagined horror movies … Cat People, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), The Thing (1982), etc. The original Vampire Circus is an amazing film; however, with current themes and effects techniques, it would be a fun film to re-imagine.
(JASON- LOVE VAMPIRE CIRCUS- ONE OF MY FAV HAMMER FILMS)

JG- I know you and Nicole share the love for Wicca ! How did you discover the Path and what brought you to position that you knew it was right for you ?

JH -Nikki's understanding and application of Celtic Wicca is amazing, and I am constantly learning from her. I, however, am not Wiccan … though, I do prescribe to much of what it teaches. I am an eclectic. I draw from many different spiritual paths. I was raised as a Christian, and I still hold to many of its teachings. In fact, I was all set to go to seminary. Yes … I was going to be a preacher! But, at some point I began to have more questions than answers. I started studying other religions … Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, etc. As an undergrad at Ball State University, I minored in Native American Studies. It was here that I started to see what made sense to me. My search soon became about finding the center. I compared the teachings of as many spiritual paths as I could … finding points of confluence. I soon began to realize the place where all spiritual paths converge. It was this place I was searching for … the core … the center of it all. My path is now an amalgamation of multiple traditions … Christianity, Wicca, Shamanism, Druidism.

JG- What kind of film would you love to do ,not horror in any way shape or form and why ?

JH -It is interesting that you ask that question. I am currently developing a story that I hope to film. The story of a man who has realized the best parts of himself through the movies he has watched throughout his life. And, coming to the end of his own story … reflecting on those experiences and allowing the audience to decide if a vicarious life can still be fulfilling.

JG - How did you get into writing for Horrorhound? JH -It all stemmed from my love of independent film. I was, at the time, working with the Dark Carnival Film Festival in Bloomington, Indiana … one of the best indie horror film fests in the US. I confronted HorrorHound about reviewing some of the amazing films that I got to screen as part of Dark Carnival. That lead to what is now HorrorHound Indie Spotlight. I have also had a chance to write a few articles on horror hosts, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, and even did an interview with John Carpenter. (THAT was a good day!)

JG - Are you a reader and if so , what is your favorite book and author?

JH -Yes … I love to read. Though, I don't read as much as I used to. I read a lot for work … so, recreational reading has become a little less appealing. But, I do have my favorite authors … two in particular that have had a profound effect on my life. The first is William Least-Heat-Moon and his book “Blue Highways”. The second is Ayn Rand and her books “The Fountainhead” and “Anthem”. These books are a must-read for anyone who is “searching”. If you don't know what I mean by “searching” then you aren't a searcher … so, disregard.

JG - Now ,fun stuff, if I were to snag your IPOD - what music would be on it right now ???

JH -Ah, technology. First … I have the Sony Walkman MP3 player. Bought it early on … though for sure it would become THE player. It still works great, but they have made NO accessories for it. Ugh … my luck! ANYWAY … right now it is stuck right in the middle of my favorite indie band, Otis and the Rufies … a brilliant mix of Pink Floyd and Trent Resnor. Beyond that is a schizophrenic mix of Dean Martin, Rob Zombie, Warrant, XTC, Oingo Boingo, Midnight Syndicate, and Damien Rice.

JG - Any guilty pleasures? Music (secret Loverboy fan) , Movie ( love Somewhere in Time perhaps?), maybe a Harlequin Romance (you know, the kind with Fabio on the cover ? Hehehe)

JH -Damn you John … get out of my head! No … really … Ok … confession time. (Breathe Deep) Hello, my name is Jason Hignite … and … I am a John Denver fan. My grandma played him in the car everywhere she went …still reminds me of her. Beyond that, I love Frank Capra movies … It's a Wonderful Life is one of my favorites. Jimmy Stewart is a god!
(ITS OKAY JASON- I HAVE A GREATEST HITS OF JOHN DENVER- HEHEHEI GET THAT ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH EVERY TIME I HEAR HIM)
Ok … that's enough. (whew!)

JG - If there was one thing that you could say challenged you in respect to your life being changed or challenged by your writing, or acting, what would it be ? ( if you care to share!)

JH -My writing, which has led to my relationship with HorrorHound, has allowed me the chance to meet, talk to, and get to know so many people who have been such an influence on me … Malcolm McDowell, John Carpenter, George Romero, John Landis, etc. Finding out what drives these people is fuel to me. As far as acting goes … a few years ago I was involved in a theatrical production of George Orwell's 1984. I played Commrade O'Brien … the “bad guy”. I have always loved playing the antagonist. But, this show demanded a lot from the cast. It took everyone (audience and cast) to very dark places. We rehearsed for six weeks, the show ran for two weekends (standard community theater), and I was a mess for about three months after! It was this role that taught me what it meant to give yourself over to something … letting it completely possess you. There is a price to pay for it … but, the result is worthy of the sacrifice.

JG -Now- guiltless self promotion ,spill it all- new projects- conventions (Horrorhound of course)? Anything- anything at all!

JH -LOTS GOING ON!! Nikki and I are in the middle of filming Kevin Jamison's Forced Entry … a film about highway serial killers. I was also cast to play a slasher in Jamison's next project. We also just had a preproduction meeting on Dan Dillard's The Apple Falls in which I am playing the lead and Nikki is playing my wife. This story is so brilliant … but, it is going to be one that leaves me messed up for awhile … guaranteed. We are wrapping on Muscle Wolf's Psycho Street … a messed up roller coaster ride of comedy, horror, and gore that will leave you needing a shower! It will be releasing soon through R Squared Films. Nikki and I are also playing a couple in Muscle Wolf's upcoming doppelganger movie Dead Ringers … bring the gore! I will soon be shooting my first short film (writer and director). No title yet … but, it will take a new twist on werewolves. Concerning HorrorHound … we are preparing to launch the first official HorrorHound Film Festival. I can't talk too much about it yet … but, I can tell you that we are working with some amazing people in L.A. They are working on something similar … so, we decided to join forces!! I will be sure to let you know when details go public. HorrorHound Weekend, Sept 7 – 9, 2012, in Indianapolis, Indiana will host the first film festival. The convention will also include an Alien reunion, a Terminator reunion, and a Monster Squad reunion!! This will be the first time all of the monsters have been together since they shot Monster Squad. (Oh, I need to add Monster Squad to that list!) Beyond that … HorrorHound will soon be dropping a nuclear bomb on the convention world. More to come on that … I promise! Thanks John … and thanks to all of the horror fans that keep the beast fed!! Remember, the key is to keep your blood warm … it's much tastier that way! - Jason

CC -I love being on set, I love films i can take risks in, I love horror cause i can be crazy and evil, and i love action cause I can be tough and do fight scenes, and I cherish the moments that I’ve been able to work with amazing actors that have given me the opportunities to work hard and stay on my game. I love being fearless.

JG - If you had the opportunity to pick a cast and director to star in a movie with, who would they be?

CC -Obviously I’ve made a lot of independent movies, i still dream that one day ill book the lead in a big budget film and get paid a lot of money to do 1 scene that day. In the independent world you shoot 10 scenes a day with 2 takes. Big budget would be fun.

JG - The awesome chance you have had to work with stars like Nicholas Cage , John Travolta and Jason Statham - are there any dream stars and or directors you would love to work with ?

CC -I am so grateful for the actors I’ve been able to work with, when your acting you get a high when you are on set doing what you love, theres nothing like that feeling in the world

JG - What would you love to do if film was no longer an option , something else in the film industry or maybe a whole different career all together?

CC -I am a producer. And I love it. I’m a born survivor and fighter. You have to fight every day when you are producing.

JG - Are you a reader and if so, what is your favorite book and author?

CC- I read 3 scripts a day right now, I haven’t been able to pick up a good book in a long time

JG - Now, fun stuff, if I were to snag your IPOD - what music would be on it right now???

CC -I’m obsessed with Gotye right now. And I would be embarrassed by my iPod shuffle, lots of the cheesy stuff

JG- Any guilty pleasures? Music (secret Loverboy fan), Movie (loved Somewhere in Time perhaps?), maybe a Harlequin Romance (you know, the kind with Fabio on the cover? Hehehe)

CC -I’m a pretty simple girl, I think people are always surprised by that. I’m down to earth and travel with my backpack. People always assume i would be glamorous with diamonds or something. Me id pawn the diamonds and put the money in the bank and throw on my sneakers.

MY PRIDE MY JOY MY GRATITUDE

Oh my friends , I been thinking of this a lot today and wanted to share it here also! I am very thankful for all my friends here on FB ,Twitter and on my blog ! I am lucky to have such a diverse group of friends, I ahve folks who believe way different then I ever would,I have right and left wing religious folks, I have horror fanatics, and I have those who hate horror with a passion. Everyone of you bring something to the table- a different perspective a challenge to my thoughts and opinions- I am lucky for that ! I have quirky friends and run of the mill everyday folks- all are important to me! I have met some of the most amazing folks- ones that will always be dear to my heart ,ones that to me,the only thing that keeps them from being REALfamily- is that crazy nonblood issue!People that have been with me since day one and always encourage and inspire me.I have to to say this though- there is ONE who is my best friend, ONE who is my pride and joy ,ONE who is the reason I wake up,ONE who makes it all worth while ,ONE who supports me and my wierd horror stuff endeavors-there is ONE who is glad I have found some awesome folks to share this wuirk with, thier is ONE who is plain and simple - my EVERYTHING - that is my awesome wife Belle ! She hates horror- but she supports the fact I love it- she hates metal music- but supports fact I love it- she loves Bones as I do loves Eureka as I do - but most importantly- she is a wonderful friend , wife and mother! I am one helluva lucky dude! I think its important to let those around you know what they mean to you- and yes ,it IS possible to be Mr Horror as well as Mr Sentimenatal ! It is possible to love horror and love the beauty around you- the world , the people (even though they piss me off a lot), to bring in this strange new cyber frontier that CAN make strong bonds between people- I have a few that I will always stand behind no matter what (and you know who you are!!) - I know none of this would NOT be possible if it wasnt for my Belle- always stands by me- encourages me (even if she doesnt understand my wierd fascination with horror , and screamy guitars )- I am , for lack of better words, very BLESSED!!! I love youo Belle Ginder- thank you for all that you are- all that you will become- and for the love you show and give to me and the family! This my friends- is what life is all about-

THANK YOU SARAH FOR YOUR TIME IN YOUR BUSY SCHEDULE FOR DOING THIS INTERVIEW! LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING MORE OF YOUR WONDERFUL FILMS!!! TY MILLIONS FRIEND~~~

JG -What put you in place to do horror movies? Was there a film in your past that grabbed you that you knew that you wanted to act and horror was the path?

SF -To be honest, I’ve always been into horror movies. Being a kid and told I couldn’t watch those kind of movies made me want to watch them even more, thanks mom! I just have a huge love for horror and that is what got me started in that genre as an actress. I wanted to be in something I loved watching. Don’t get me wrong, I like acting in all genres of film, but horror is #1.

JG - What is your favorite horror movie (old and or new) ?

SF -A favorite film would be one you can watch over and over again and never get sick of it. For me, that film would be ‘Childs Play’. I first seen this movie when I was about 7 years old and was with my grandma and sister. My sis and I actually tricked my grandma into renting it for us when she was babysitting, so funny. She had no clue what it was about. Needless to say, that film scared the shit out of us and I’ll never forget that. I love that movie so much. Can’t get any better than a killer doll! Within the last couple years, I got to meet Chris Sarandon and Alex Vincent. Gotta love conventions!

JG - If you had the opportunity to pick a cast and director to star in a movie with , who would they be?

SF -Ha, cool! Lets see, off the top of my head, cast wise I’d choose…. Kurt Russell, Tim Curry, Sigourney Weaver, and Lance Hendricksen… Director I’d choose… John Carpenter. I’d pick more, but these are the ones that popped in my head first!

JG - What other kind of genre would you like to do besides horror, and why ?

SF -I’ve always wanted to do a fantasy style film, like ‘Legend’ with Tim Curry and Tom Cruise. I’ve never done a fantasy styled film before, and would love to. I like the whole magical aspects of that film, like the characters, and the story. To be in that kind of film would be awesome!

JG - What would you love to do if film was no longer an option, something else in the film industry or maybe a whole different career all together?

SF -Not an option, haha! But, if I had to pick, I’d like to continue to work in the industry somehow, so maybe make-up artist or set designer.

JG - Are you a reader and if so , what is your favorite book and author?

SF -Not much of a reader, but one of my all time favorite books is Twisted Loneliness by Joe Knetter!! Look’em up!

JG - Now ,fun stuff, if I were to snag your IPOD - what music would be on it right now ???

SF -Haha, alright! Type O Negative, Lacuna Coil, Judas Priest, Black Label Society, Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, The Dan Band, The Bunny The Bear, Motorhead, Slayer, Children of Bodom, Twisted Sister, Nevermore, Rob Zombie, Nightwish, WASP, King Diamond, Pantera, Kiss, Dio, Dimmu Borgir, and it goes on and on!!

JG - Any guilty pleasures? Music (secret Loverboy fan) , Movie ( loved Somewhere in Time perhaps?), maybe a Harlequin Romance (you know, the kind with Fabio on the cover ? Hehehe)

SF -The only guilty pleasures I can think of are eating sweets and watching Mob Wives!

JG -Now- guiltless self promotion ,spill it all- new projects- conventions , websites ? Anything- anything at all!
