Well- I have read and heard about Found as it was being filmed- and then once it was out- about how awesome it was. I went to Horrorhound Indianapolis 2012 where it won the Elvira Horror Haunt film festival - and got to be taken to west coast to Los Angeles and be shown - and what happened- I did NOT get to see it at HH ! When will the Horrordude learn- WATCH THE FILMS AT THE CONS!!!!  lol
I was lucky enough to be at Horrorhound Jamie Lee Curtis- where I  saw Kistie Duncan and her cool hubby Chris Jay- and we chatted- and she asked me if I saw it yet- well- now that is humbling-I had to be honest and I told her no. Well- Scott and Leya were at HHJLC - and Kitsie told me- so I promised to grab the dvd - and I did-  and I watched it and I really enjoyed it. So- with that being said- lets get on with it !

*************spoiler alert*****************

I'm being cliche but I will say this- its a coming of age story- in a whole other way of seeing it- its not like Stand By Me or others- but it is from the horror / slasher avenue. Well Gavin Brown plays the 15 year old boy who loves his horror movies- in those awkward years- we all know how it is at being n the 13-17 age range. Gavin- he does a remarkable job- ( I have been amazed at how well some youngsters are doing in film- here and in the other also film Jacob!). The best way I can describe this film- in its way of being a narrative - is kind how in the Wonder Years- hearing the child speak (granted in TWY's it was an adult telling the story)- but this is from the kids own mind- telling the story, Pardon the comparison above it is just what makes sense as an example. Gavin finds out his brother is a serial killer-incredibly played by Ethan Philbeck. Both boys being young- still live at home- with thier parents ( Munro and Lawless).

What would you do- if you discovered that your older brother was a serial killer- and what would you do if you knew he would protect you at no matter the cost, so you could have a better life???  This makes it a hard thing for him- he wants to understand and see what and why his brother does this. He finds out as the film goes- and he also sees his brother show his utmost love for him- and gives him the independence he needs to be the young man he wants to be. Needless to say- this "rite" that is performed to grant him this life involves blood- killing - lots of screaming - and a new outlook on lying in bed- and oh yes- a ball gag!

I really want to tell you all more- but I want you all to experience this film for yourselves- and have a chance to see how it all happens, unwinds, and how the brothers rock this film! So- I will end this with this- a trailer below- and a quick note to say- everyone did a remarkable job- Kitsie was excellent-  Brigid rocked her death- Angela well lets say as a death that is not soon to be forgotten-its enough to lose your head over- or at least a breast!

The whole cast was great- the crew did a great job at sound, music , cinematography, the locations were excellent- go on folks- find a ways to see this- buy the disc- support independant horror-and be majorly impressed with this film! Elvira says its is excellent- there must be something to it.

Last note- this film - was filmed entirely in my state of Indiana- through Bloomington (home of Indiana University), Columbus Indiana - and other small towns-  I am just saying- becasue it makes me proud- proud to be a Hoosier- proud to know a film this good and of this quality came from here!!!
